Three newly infected by Covid-19

Imphal, April 19 2022:
Three new Covid-19 positive cases were detected on Tuesday out of 311 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering 0.96 per cent positivity rate against 0.80 per cent reported on Monday.
No death cases were reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people of which 61 had received second dose of Covid vaccine.
In the last 24 hours, one patient was discharged from home isolation.
Number of active cases rose to 55 out of which 18 (32.73 per cent) are in home isolation.
So far, the state has recorded 11,413 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 107 new positive cases and zero fatality.
According to official reports, all the three fresh cases (2 male & 1 female) are from among the general population and are residents of Imphal West (1), Bishnupur (1) and Senapati (1) districts.
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,201 (general population - 1,32,187 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,35,026 (general population - 130,019 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) and number of active cases is 55 (general population) .
The recovery rate is 98.41 per cent.
A total of 487 D-type and 61 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours.
With the administration of 3213 vaccine doses Monday the cumulative number of vaccinated individuals reached 15,50,494, out of which 11,93,715 had received second dose and 71,452 had taken precautionary dose.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48743), Imphal East (30441), Thoubal (10158), Churachandpur (11054), Kangpokpi (3131), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9837), Senapati (2493), Ukhrul (3274), Kakching (6896), Chandel (2725), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1201), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036), and Pherzawl (465).Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5), and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,216 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,652 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,17,943 tests per million population against the national average of 5,92,823 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.55 per cent while cumulative positivity rate stands at 8.54 per cent.
