New Delhi, August 23 2011:
In the first sign of an attempt to break the Lokpal deadlock, Law Minister Salman Khurshid on Tuesday met civil society members.
Talks have begun between Team Anna and the government on the formation of a stringent Lokpal Bill, civil society activist Arvind Kejriwal said after meeting Khurshid.
However, Kejriwal said no progress has been made yet.
"We met for the first time today, Tuesday.
Discussions were held on the key issues," Kejriwal told a TV channel after the meeting.
"There has not been any progress.
I am going to Anna Hazare and will comment only after discussing it with him," he added.
Khurshid said the meeting was 'good'.
"I was just trying to understand what is happening.
Why they are so much agitated, said Khurshid.
"Contact should be made at every level," says Khurshid but maintained he has not been officially nominated for talks with Team Anna.
