One case detected, Centre halts vaccine supply

Imphal, April 17 2023:
The state on Monday reported one fresh case of Covid-19 from out of 42 samples tested, thus registering a positivity rate of 2.4 per cent.
The fresh case is a 29-year old female resident of Imphal West district.
On the other hand, two patients were discharged in the last 24 hours following which the number of active cases in the state declined to seven.
On the other hand, no vaccine dose was administered on Monday and the number of vaccinated people in the state stands at 16,49,470 out of which, 13,31,219 have received second doses while 2,80,416 had taken precautionary doses.
Meanwhile, a statement from the Covid-19 common control room has informed that the Central government has stopped supplying Covid-19 vaccines to states and process for procurement on the expense of the state government is in progress.
It also advised the public to use face mask, wash hands regularly, avoid crowd and get vaccinated to stay safe from the contagion.
