MNCA U-14 Boys Tourney : RCA, YWC-L post emphatic victories

RCA-Lilong boosted their quarter final chances by defeating SDC-Laipham Khunou by 6 wickets for the third Group B victory in the 2nd MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament here at PTRC Ground, Patsoi Part IV .
SDC were the toss winners and opted to bat first before they were bowled out for 189 runs in 24.2 and PTRC cruised to winning 191 at the cost of 4 wickets in 24.3 overs thanks to an unbeaten ton from Md Anush.
After a stuttering start, Nitara Maverick (42 off 44 balls) and Maibam Napolian (53 off 37 balls) gave SDC a mid-order relief before they faltered again and slumped at 189 with Zoned claiming three wickets and Nawaz Sarif and Irfan sharing two wickets each.
Albas Khan and Farhan Ahmed of RCA also picked up a wicket each in this innings.
In the chase Md Anush took the honour to take the team to winning 191 with Zoned (26 not out) on the other end of the crease.
Manish Kumar Nepal of SDC picked up three wickets in this innings but failed to alter the complexion of the game.
Md Anush of RCA who shone with a ton was adjudged man of the match.
In a Group C match staged at PCC ground in Mayaikoibi, YWC-Langthabal capped their campaign with a huge 207 run victory over SU, Sagolband.
It was the second win for the Langthabal team as they racked up 306 runs for all wickets down in 27.3 overs and bowled out SU for just 99 runs in 25.1 overs.
Daneil Seram (37), Pukhrambam Bonison (39), Seram Indraraj (48), Pukhrambam Michael (31) were the main run getter for YWC-L before they slumped at 306 as Keisham Anderson (3/67), Keisham Yaikhomba (2/40) and Philan RK (2/54) worked hard to contain the rampaging YWC batters.
In the chase, Daneil Seram grabbed three wickets (3/15) and three other bowlers of YWC- P Bonison (2/41), Khoisam Kelvinson (2/7) and Yumnam Achouba (2/27) chipped in with two wickets apiece to set up SU batting collapse at 99 runs.
Daneil Seram who picked three wickets and added 37 crucial wickets was adjudged man of the match.
