Imphal, April 17 2023:
Amidst discontentment among the public towards the present BJP government, a volcano of dissension is beginning to erupt within the state BJP, stated Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) senior spokesperson Hareshwar Goswami.
Addressing media persons at Congress Bhawan, here, on Monday, Hareshwar said that a political crisis has emerged in Manipur after the resignation of some ruling MLAs from the post of chairmen of PSUs/corporations allotted to them.
At least two MLAs have resigned from the posts in the past few days and more MLAs are likely to follow suit.
Resignation of the MLAs from the posts allotted to them clearly indicates discord among the ruling MLAs, he asserted.
According to Hareshwar, the present BJP government in the state has been able to survive with support from the Centre and there will be no BJP government in Manipur once the BJP government at the Centre ends.
After the Lok Sabha election in 2024, there will be no BJP government at the Centre as a coalition government of non-NDA partners is imminent.
The MPCC spokesperson further said that prices of goods have skyrocketed during the BJP government and this has made the common people suffer a lot.
People are still silent on increasing hike of prices of goods and unemployment but there will be no BJP government once people could not tolerate their silence and their anger explodes like a volcano, he added.
