Lecture prog on Agniveer, health issues conducted

Loktak Battalion of IGAR (South) organised "motivational lecture" for Agniveer aspirants at its Kangvai headquarters in Churachandpur district on Monday to help students from remote areas fulfil their ambitions.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the Battalion took the opportunity as an initiative to gather around 21 aspirants from Kangvai and contiguous area for the motivational lecture, which aimed at imparting knowledge on career prospects and recruitment procedure to join Indian Army under Agniveer scheme.
The Battalion assured that the local youths of all possible assistance including free registration, theoretical classes, physical training and communication skills.
Battalion also organised mock tests for the Agniveer apirants which began on Monday.
The initiative was well received by the local youth of Kangvai and contiguous area who appreciated the efforts of Loktak Battalion in reinforcing their motto of being the "Sentinels of North East", said the PRO.

lecture on physical and mental health under 'Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA)' at Gamnoum village in Kamjong district on Sunday.
During the interaction with youth and faculty members, ill effects of drug use were brought out.
The locals and children were motivated to fight against drug abuse andget involved in nation building activities.
The lecture was well received and appreciated by the students, faculty and village authorities.
