Hemam Nilamani remembered

Hemam Nilamani Foundation (A Charitable Trust) Moirang has observed the 108th foundation day of Hemam Nilamani at INA Memorial Hall, today.
Hemam Nilamani was not only a valiant fighter who fought against the mighty British for Independent India but served the State as a Deputy Education Minister of the erstwhile Government of Manipur.
The observance held adhering to social distancing norms was attended by MLA of Moirang AC P Sharatchandra Singh; president Hemam Nilamani Foundation, Moirang, H Babudhon Singh and ex MLA Moirang AC, M Prithiviraj Singh; social worker Th Shanti Singh; Vice president BJP Manipur Pradesh M Asnikumar and ex MLA Langthabal AC, O Joy Singh as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
At the function, the gatherings paid floral tributes to the photo of Hemam Nilamani.
The presidium members also released a souvenir that tells the story of Hemam Nilamani's contribution to the State and country at large.
As part of the observance, position holders from Moirang AC of the recently declared HSLC Examination conducted by BOSEM, Chabungbam Ishorchandra of Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School and Kongjengbam Bisheshor of New Model School were feted by the organiser.
In the evening session of the programme, poems dedicated to Hemam Nilamani were recited by several poets.
