4 PULF arrested in Goa brought back

The four People's United Liberation Front (PULF) activists including a woman, arrested from a coastal village in south Goa on last Wednesday, were brought back to Imphal today by a team of state police.
Police alleged that the woman identified as Souda Begum (37) is the wife of the PULF chairman MI Khan who is currently in a jail in Imphal and she is the acting chairperson of the outfit.
She hails from Keirao Makting Makha Leikai.
However, family members said that she has six children and she has been arrested by the police from Goa where she went to take out her children studying there.
Other three were Md Noor Safi (35) son of late Mv Mansur Ali of Yairipok Changamtabi, Md Babu alias Samir Khan (21) son of Md Islamuddin of Keirao Makitng Makha Leikai and A Mani Singh (25) son of A Heramot of Mutum Phobou.
Noor Safi is the home and publicity secretary of the outfit.
They operate through mobile phones from Goa and arrested by a combined team of Goa police, Manipur police and Army in a joint operation on January 19.They have been alleged of operating the outfit through mobile phones, sources said.
State police brought back them after taking transit remand from a local court in Gao for investigation into the crimes they have committed, the source added.
