Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav observed across the State

To mark the 75 years of India's Independence and to commemorate the anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi's Dandi March for Salt Satyagraha, the nationwide celebration of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' was also observed today across the State.
THOUBAL
Nehru Yuva Kendra Thoubal, began the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav by conducting a 'Neighborhood Youth Parliament and Walkathon' in collaboration with Council for Advancement of Rural Development (CARD), Thoubal Kshetri Leikai at CARD Training Hall, Kshetri Leikai, Thoubal.
The programme was attended by W Ibohal Singh, retired DYC, NYK; Michael T Mate, District Youth Officer, NYK Thoubal and K Lokendro Singh, DACYP Member, NYK Thoubal as the presidium members.
The Neighborhood Youth Parliament participated by 80 youth leaders of Thoubal district culminated with a rendition of the National Anthem, after which a Walkathon (Padyatra) was carried out giving special homage to the Indian National Army, especially the womenfolk of Rani Jhansi Regiment of INA.
CHANDEL
As a part of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', a mass rally organised by the District Administration Tengnoupal was flagged off jointly by the Deputy Commissioner Tengnoupal, Mayanglambam Rajkumar and SP, Th Bikramjit at Pallel New Bridge.
The rally which culminated at Kotlenphai village, Tengnoupal district was participated by DLOs and students of Nemkhochin Memorial School, Shalom English Academy, Cherith Foundation Cornerstone Academy, police personnel, government officials and CSOs of the district.
'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' was also celebrated at United college Chandel.
TENGNOUPAL
District Health Society Tengnoupal under the supervision of District Administration Tengnoupal also organised a mass rally as a part of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' at Sub District Hospital Moreh.
The rally went to Moreh keithel and culminated at Moreh police station.
It was participated by Chief Medical Officer Tengnoupal, Dr Kh Gojen; Primary Health Centre Moreh, MO incharge, Dr Kh Santikumar; SDH Moreh, MO incharge, Dr Manoranjan; Health department staff; SDO Moreh, Irengbam Dinesh Kumar; ASP (LO), Sangboi Gangte; ASP (OPS), M Amit; SDPO Moreh, L Meghavarna and police personnel of the district.
Meanwhile, a PMJAY & CMHT card enrolment programme for the families included in the Socio Economic Caste Census (SECC) list was also held.
CHURACHANDPUR
A Neighbourhood Youth Parliament arrd Walkathon under Fit India was organised by the Kapaih Hills Area Sports Association at Bunglon village under the aegis of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Churachandpur, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India as a part of the "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" .
The walkathon participated by 40 youth of the area culminated at Bunglon Community Hall, where Pautinlal Gangte, president, Bunglon Youth Club addressed the gathering as the resource person on Fit India movement.
BISHNUPUR
As part of the "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" celebration, M Joy Singh, IAS, Commissioner, Art And Culture; SN Pradhan, Additional DG (NEZ), Guwahati & Imphal Region, PIB and ROB, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India and Neeta Arambam, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Bishnupur flagged off a rally today at INA Martyrs' Memorial Complex, Moirang.
Students participated in large numbers at the rally from INA complex to Sendra.
The event was organized by the Art and Culture department, Manipur in association with the District Administration, Bishnupur.
Later, a cultural programme was also organized as part of the celebration at INA Complex Auditorium wherein artists from Arts and Culture and Regional Outreach Bureau enthralled the crowd with captivating songs and various dance performances including traditional acrobatics.
The function was also attended by SP, ZEO, DLOs and officials from the Art and Culture department.
