Invalid votes in Ngamu stations
In a bizarre development, a total of 350 valuable votes cast in Ngamu 6/5 polling station have been found invalid for using pen instead of marking stamp in casting votes.
It is learnt that the presiding officer had allegedly instructed the voters to use pen and not marking stamp, which, it turned out, has rendered the valuable votes invalid.
Reports said that villagers of Ngaimu have consequently urged the district election authority for a repoll in the polling booth.
However, no decision regarding this has been made till late Tuesday evening.
