Kohima, Apr 26 (NEPS):
The NSCN (K) has today ridiculed the recent declaration of the outcome of the talks between the Government of India and
the NSCN (IM) that the two have only come to know each other even after the lapse of 8 years of meeting.
This has happened because the Government of India has been attempting to find solution to the Indo-Naga political with the NSCN (IM) which has link with "terrorist Al-Quida," alleged Kughalu Mulatonu, Kilonser
(Minister) of the NSCN (K).
Informing this to NEPS over phone from interior areas of Nagaland today, the NSCN (K) Kilonser said a team of high ranking leaders of the
outfit would be reaching Delhi in a day or two to have formal meeting with the representatives of the Government of India to extend ongoing
ceasefire for another term.
The current truce between the Government of India and the outfit is expiring on 28the of this month.
During which, the officials of the NSCN (K) would highlight the "NSCN (IM)'s terrorist link with Al-Quida" and "their (NSCN-IM) other criminal
acts to innocent Nagas" by taking advantage of the UN Secretary General Kofi Anand's current visit to India's capital, Mulatonu stated.
Wondering as to how Indian Government would be able to bring solution to the Indo-Naga political problem by talking to the NSCN (IM), the NSCN
(K) leader said they would urge the visiting UN Chief to set up an "enquiry team" to investigate the activities of the NSCN (IM).
Asking the Government of India to seize the opportunity to find a political solution with the outfit (NSCN-K), the NSCN (K) leader said they
can't go on extending the ceasefire with the Government of India without having talks.
He said non-solution to the NSCN (IM) problem by the Government of India has stood on the way to solution of the Indo-Naga political problem.
He further added once the Government of India starts talking with the NSCN (K), there would be immediate solution to the NSCN (IM) problem.
On the reported news that there would be problem in the northeast if the Naga integration is not fulfilled, Mulatonu said even if there should
be problem, it will only happen so because of the NSCN (IM).
"But the NSCN and the Nagas will not destroy the co-existence with either
Assamese or Meeteis or Arunachalese," he assured.
