The controversy regarding the parking space of Tata Sumo, van, DI Tata vehicles plying from Moreh to Imphal has been resolved following a meeting between All community leaders of Moreh and representative of the transporters.
The meeting which was held at the Moreh Trade Centre Conference Hall was attended by Meetei Council Moreh, All Community Development Organisation Moreh, Hill Tribal Council Moreh, Tamil Sangam Moreh, Manipuri Muslim Council Moreh and representatives of the associations of various vehicles plying on the Imohal Moreh road.The meeting took six resolution and the vehicles will start service from February 6 .
The following are the six resolutions passed on the meeting held today: Resolved that the community level leaders shall make it a point to the associations (All Moreh Auto Rickshaw Owners and Drivers Assn).
to abide by the said order strictly as ordered.
Resolved that from now on, no Assn shall call a Bandh at their own free will.
If by compulsion, they have to call a Bandh, they shall do so only within their assn.
Resolved that the all community leaders shall approach the Govt.dept.
to make sure that no parking permit/license is granted to individuals or group without the prior consent of the community leaders of Moreh.
Resolved that all four wheelers/vehicles shall be stationed/parked at the terminals of the PWD, Moreh ward number 8 and the veterinary campus (Moreh Town Parking), Moreh ward number 6 with their free choice of either of the two spots.
Resolved that the Sumo Assn.
(OLD & NEW) shall apply to the All Community Leaders in writing to give time for internal settlement of the issue.
After a long deliberation, on the issue, it was finally resolved that the Tata sumo, Van and DI and shall park the vehicles in the PWD campus, Moreh W/No.8 and the Veterinary campus (Moreh Town Parking) Moreh W/No.6 .
