CAU deliberates on development plan

A meeting chaired by Dr Anupam Mishra, Vice Chancellor of CAU was held at the conference hall of College of Food Technology, CAU, Lamphelpat.
In the meeting a phase wise development plan was discussed.
In the Phase I, two new connecting roads will be constructed, connecting Central Farm Office with Integrated Fish Farming Project and one to the existing drain from National Game village, Zone IV side.
A new drain will be dug up alongside the new connecting roads which will be further connected to the main drain (Shamushang Uku).
The proposed COFT construction will be developed as per the requisite specifications of sunken bed models.
Two RCC Hume pipes will also be installed for connecting the sunken bed area and the connecting roads.
New ponds will also be constructed by redressing/renovating existing unused ponds as a part of the Phase I .
The work for Phase II will start once the level of water recedes and the area becomes dry and workable.
New ponds and water bodies will be constructed as per available area.
Connecting road from Central farm Office to the existing natural drain from National Game Village side will be extended upto College of Agriculture, Iroisemba.
New drain will also be constructed alongside the newly constructed connecting road as per site requirement.
The statement released by CAU stated that the execution of Phase I has already begun from November 4.As of November 5, redressal of the existing pathway along the National Game Village, Zone IV side has been completed.
Manual redressing of the pathways have started since the pathway is not approachable by tractors from November 7 .
Prioritization of works to be taken up and demarcation of areas to be developed in Phase I stands completed.
