Assam Rifles provides medical assistance

Kamjong, November 20 2020:
The Assam Rifles provided lifesaving medical aid to a villager of Kangpat Khullen village in Kamjong district who had sustained gunshot wounds while hunting.
Wesper Binod, aged 42 years, sustained a grievous wound accidentally during hunting when a bullet ricocheted and hit him on his back near the right shoulder.
He was rushed to the Assam Rifles medical facility in Chassad where the paramedics rendered life saving medical care.
Once the patient was stabilised, he was transferred to Kamjong for further treatment.
The prompt response and empathetic support by the Assam Rifles personnel was appreciated by the locals who expressed gratefulness for the life saving medical aid provided to the injured person.
In another incident troops of Assam Rifles provided lifesaving medical support and saved the life of Janglal Haokip of Aishi village who had sustained grievous injuries due to a bear attack during hunting today morning.
He was rushed to the Aishi Post of Assam Rifles where the paramedics rendered emergency medical aid to mitigate the severe injuries sustained on the head and left leg.
Once his condition stabilised, he was evacuated to Kamjong hospital for further treatment.
