KKL observes second rising day

The Kangleipak Kanba Lup (KKL) has observed its 2nd rising day with a function at JN Manipur Dance Academy today.
A short discussion programme on the topic "Change and Continuity in Manipur Society today" was held during the rising day celebration programme which also saw swearing in of new office bearers of KKL.
Speaking as the chief guest of the function, Dr CM, Y Joykumar said that democracy is the most suitable form of Government as other forms of Government such as monarchy and dictatorship are no longer relevant in today's world.
To bring change in the society, there should be changes in the political, social and economic perspectives and the recent change in political perspective in the State is worth welcoming, he said.
The celebration programme was also attended by senior journalist and chief advisor of KKL, Yambem Laba; Chairperson of Manipur State Human Rights Commission, Khaidem Mani; Chairperson of Manipur State Commission for Women, Meinam Binota; social scientist, Dr Dhanabir Laishram and senior journalist, Pradip Phanjoubam as presidium members.
