Senapati: District administration extends help to fire victims

Senapati, November 20 2020:
Reaching out to the victims of the fire that broke out at Khabung Karong, Senapati on November 19, the District administration, Senapati had extended monetary help to the seven affected families.
Speaking at a short gathering at the spot in the presence of District Frontal Organizations and village elders of Khabung Karong, Th Kirankumar, DC, Senapati stated that he shared the pain and the sorrow of the fire victims.
The DC mentioned that that the district administration has been extending assistance although the amount may not equalise the loss in the presence of Naga People's Organization officials and village elders.
The district administration had reportedly extended some bags of rice to the victims on the day of the tragic fire incident.
The DC expressed gratitude to the villagers and various civil societies for extending help to the victims of the fire incident.
PM Heni, chairman of Khabung Karong village expressed gratitude to all concerned for their kind gesture to the fire victims.
Two house owners identified as Magdalene, W/o (L) S Shele and Lokho Otha, two tenants Joseph Elizabeth and Sayio, two shop owners Pramod and Vicky and one RV Genevieve, owner of the grocery godown, were provided aid by the district administration.
