ZYF lifts restrictions

Following a meeting with the Chief Minister this evening, the Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) has lifted the restriction and prohibition imposed on orange growers.
During the meeting today the 6(six) point demands raised by the Zeliangrong Youth Front were deliberated point-wise, a statement issued by the ZYF said.
Both parties agreed that there shall be another meeting between the Govt of Manipur and Zeliangrong Youth Front on December 20 (Friday) at 3.30 pm which would be attended by Revenue Minister, Th Debendra Singh; Deputy Chief Minister, Gaikhangam and Z Kikhonbou MLA Tamei A/C and concerned departmental officials to finalise the matter, it said.
As both parties have arrived with this understanding and assurance given by the Chief Minister to resolve the issue at the earliest, the Zeliangrong Youth Front has lifted the restriction and prohibition imposed on orange growers.
It was also agreed by both parties that the Zeliangrong Youth Front should resort to democratic agitation in case of the Govt's failure to fulfil the demands.
The meeting begun at 4:30 pm and ended at 5.40 pm at the CM's Secretariat.
Vice-Chairman HAC was also with the CM representing the Govt while the ZYF (AMN) was represented by its President Titus Kamei, Subash Kamei, David Kamei, Disinrei Gangmei, Kagangai Gangmei, Chairman, ZYF Tamenglong Zone, Johny Gangmei, Chairman ZYF Sadar Hills Zone, Thaingampou Thaimei, Vice-Chairman, ZYF Nungba Zone, Kameichang Kamei, Finance Secretary, ZYF Luangchum Zone and Khamba Kamei, ZYF Nungba Zone.
