Peeved at the poor office attendance and failure to maintain proper office timing in various Government offices in Senapati district , which have been attributed as the root causes of corruption and decelerating developmental activities in the district in particular as well as the State, the People's Action for Change (PAC), Senapati appealed the DC to inspect Govt offices at least once in a month and take up stern action against any employees who do not comply with service rules.
A statement issued by the President of PAC, Ngaile pointed out that irregularities of many employees in the district are found during an inspection drive carried out by the PAC.
Maintaining that Govt school teachers and health workers are the worst in maintaining their irregularities, the PAC statement pointed out that more than half of Government teachers and health workers posted in the villages are running business, NGOs, taking contract works, drawing loan and schemes in the name of poor villagers in the district headquarters.
Urging the DC and concerned heads of departments to send them back to their place of posting, the PAC further appealed the public, civil societies, student bodies to cooperate with PAC in its endeavour to ensure good governance in the district.
