During the meeting, deliberations were held on the preparation of Shah's visit to the state, including inauguration of projects and the various development projects taken up by the government along with the roles to be taken up by the ruling MLAs in their respective constituencies.

To ensure that the high profile visit concludes without any hiccups, stringent security measures have been taken up in the state and No Fly Zones' declared on January 5 and 6, prohibiting operation of drones and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in Imphal West and Bishnupur districts.

According to Bishnupur district magistrate Lourembam Bikram, the 'No Fly Zone for Drone and UAV' will be within one km radius area of NH-2 from Torbung till INA HQ, Moirang; Chengei Lampak, Moirang; and along NH-2 from Chengei Lampak till Ngangkhalawai Helipad Ground.

A similar search operation was conducted in Boragali area of Thangal Bazar from 4 to 4:40 pm.

The district police commandos verified 120 individuals out of which 3 were detained and handed over to City police for further verification.

Meanwhile, according to a source, union home minister Amit Shah initially was scheduled to arrive in Agartala on Thursday to take part in the election campaign for the upcoming polls in Tripura.

However, after a short communication, he reached Agartala on Wednesday evening.

Shah will be spending the night in Tripura and meeting with party leaders to discuss varied issues.

On Thursday, he will flag off a rath yatra of the party at two locations, namely a 190 km rath yatra from Dhar-managar in North Tripura and at Sabroom, located near the Bangladesh border.
