Irawat Month celebration

As part of its annual observance of September as Irawat Month, Irawat Celebration Committee is all set to celebrate it from September 1 to 30 under the theme "Save Manipur" this year.
The major programmes of the celebration are, commencement of Irawat Month Celebration, public meeting at Madan Mohon Community Hall, Kongba.
It will be followed by blood donation camp, free health camp, song competition on other dates of the month.
The 117 birth anniversary observation of Hijam Irawat on September 30 will be marked by mass rallies, public meeting and march pass competition at Konung Lampak and Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen.
Informing this to media persons at Irawat Bhawan here today, State Secretary of CPI Dr M Nara stressed that challenge in territorial integrity, politics in drug smuggling have made the State a mess, due to the unstable governance.
It is high time that the people follow the principle of Hijam Irawat.
Commerce and Industries Minister N Mangi Singh, CPI National Council Member and SPF Steering Committee Secretary said, "Both hills and valley people need to stand united and object in losing even an inch of land in the border fencing.
We should coexist in harmony and safeguard the territorial integrity" .
