He said that Government schools like Bungte Chiru High School have only few teachers in which half of them were utilized in other departments and other schools like Model, Motbung H/S have hostel facilities which is in pitiable condition due to poor management while Saitu H/S is left with only 8 teachers.
Bishnulal H/S have also faced similar problem of utilization of teachers.
Despite of the commendable 530 students, 13 teachers were utilized in various department, offices and other schools and there was no teachers to take teach Thadou subject (MIL subject) even if there were good numbers of students taking Thadou subject.
Kangchup Chingkhong Jr H/S has only 2 rooms minus staff rooms.

Chalwa H/S has no regular Headmaster with some teachers utilized in other purpose while most of the remaining schools faced lots of similar problems such as bad condition of rooms, absence of proper toilets, lack of teaching and non teaching staffs, etc.
TSA being a student organization focusing on quality Education is deeply sad on the practice of utilization of teachers in other schools, offices, departments and other purposes said the Education Secretary while adding that many teachers get their salary from the school they are posted but work in other schools, departments or offices while giving burden and problem to the students where they are supposed to impart education.
He continued that owing to such callous practice of utilization of teachers, proper and quality education is far from reaching the schools in the hill districts and such practice has deeply affected the education of children studying in the Government schools in the hill districts.
He also said that the student body is of the view that abolition of the practice of proxy teachers, availability of adequate teachers, proper infrastructures, good conditions of roads, proper toilet facilities, good condition of classroom and some other points, are some of the basic needs to promote and bring quality education in hill districts.
Therefore, we sincerely appeal the concerned authority and the State Government to take up immediate remedial measures from the next academic session in the larger interest of quality education failing which TSA Sadar Hills will no more remain a mute spectator, Paominlun added.
