Kangpokpi, March 28 2016:
Kuki Students' Organization, Sadar Hills today opposed the pro-
posed 24-hour bandh called by Tongjel Maril District Demand
Committee along the National Highway-37 from March 28 mid-
night in Sadar Hills area.
KSO, Sadar Hills president Thangminlen Kipgen said that
the proposed bandh of Tongjel Maril District Demand Com-
mittee which is supposed to be enforced from Keithelmanbi
to Noney along National Highway-37 is not acceptable since
some section of the area is under Sadar Hills administration.
He pointed out that New Keithelmanbi to Charoipandongba
village (Tupul) is under the administrative jurisdiction of Sadar
Hills and no bandh could be enforced in this area in connec-
tion with the demand of Tongjel Maril District Demand
Committee.
The student body president urged the Tongjel Maril District
Demand Committee not to enforce any bandh from New
Keithelmanbi to Charoipandongba and warned that the student
body would not remain silent if the bandh is forcefully enforce
in the said area.
