WW-II objects found

Kangpokpi, March 28 2016:
Three objects believed to be
of World War II were
handed over to Sapormeina
police station by Motbung
Youth Club today.
Two M3 Lee Tank
shells and one US M2
60mm Motor shell was
recovered by the club
while exploring the
battlefield 'Isaac Hill',
locally known as 'Tank
Hill' early this year.
The objects are
suspected to have used
during the battle at Isaac
Hills at Old Modbung,
now called Motbung in
Sadar Hills during the
World War II between
the Japanese and British
soldiers.
Three members of
Motbung Youth Club led
by its president SK
Thanglenmang handed
over the shells to Inspec-
tor Lunkhoseh Lhouvum,
Officer-in-charge,
Sapormeina police station.
