Chairman of Charllong Village, Chandel district has urged the concerned authority to immediately effect payment of compensation to stones, land and crops which were used and damaged in the construction of Tengnoupal to New Samtal road.
In a statement, chairman of Charllong village, SK Bunghong said that workers and personnel of 82 RCC (GREF) occupied the Anganwadi and primary school buildings of Charllong village since 2010 without the consent of the concerned village authority.
The occupation of the school building has deprived the education of the students.
It further pointed out that stones under the jurisdiction of Charllong village were used for the road construction without paying any compensation besides damaging land and crops of the villagers.
The VA has drawn the attention of the concerned authority to ensure payment of the compensation at the earliest time possible so that the plights of the villagers are redressed at the right earnest.
