MGNREGA guidelines to develop Chandel

Chandel DC Robert Singh Kshetrimayum has said that the MGNREGA operational guidelines 2013 would help to bring development for the people of the district with the cooperation and consensus efforts of the concerned stake holders.
The deputy commissioner said this while speaking as the chief guest of the 3-day Orientation programme for MGNRES District Resource team (DRT) on MGNREGA operational guidelines inaugural function held at DRDA Hall today.
Organized by the District Rural Development Agency Chandel, the orientation of the District Resource Team would go on till September 17 .
Inaugurating the orientation, the Deputy Commissioner in his speech maintained that Chandel district is known for its backwardness.
However, with the convergence concept of successful implementation of the evolved MGNREGA operational guidelines 2013 by line departments, the DC expressed confidence that Chandel district would progress and develop within the first year of implementation.
Saying that the main objective of all line departments in the district were to give maximum benefit of the schemes taken up by them, the DC went on to say that the present approach of the guidelines identified and recognized the key contribution of the line department therefore, collective effort of the stakeholders including the key officials from the department would help to yield maximum benefit for the people of the district.
Project officer of the DRDA Chandel L Stephen Modar highlighted the background of the training and said that different personalities would interact and initiate dialogue process with the participating DRT officials as resource persons during the training.
Today's inaugural function was attended by about 30 DLOs and line department HODs from sericulture, agriculture, PHED, medical, DRDA and others.
