In Commemoration of the 154th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna awardee Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, Institute of Engineers, Manipur State Centre (IEI-MSC) celebrated the 47th Engineer's Day under the theme, 'Making Indian Engineering World-Class' at the auditorium of Government Polytechnic, Takyelpat today.
Public Works Department (PWD) former Chief Engineer E Binoykumar and IEI-MSC Chairman M Lokendra graced the celebration as chief guest and president respectively.
Controller of Technical Education Kh Rajchandra, IEI-MSC former Chairman Kh Angou, PWD former Chief Engineer Th Joykumar and JERC for Mizoram and Manipur former Chairman, N Shyamsundar also attended the function as special guests.
Addressing the function, E Binoykumar spoke at length on the works and contributions of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya in the field of engineering.
Urging the engineers to work with dedication, Binoykumar said that they must put in efforts to create a niche in their field so that people may remember them forever.
