Imphal City Conference of CPI (M) held

Imphal, December 09 2014:
The third Imphal city conference of CPI (M) Manipur was organized at the conference hall of its office at Paona bazar here today with Moirangthem Thoiba and Ayekpam Tombi Luwang attending as presidium members.
In this 3rd city conference, party's secretariat member Kshetrimayum Shanta deliberated the political and organizational performance of the party in the last three years.
He further stated that though Imphal city is the epicenter and capital city of Manipur, it still lacks behind basic amenities like sufficient drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, proper road connections and drainage system, parking facility etc.
Further he appealed to the delegates that Imphal Municipality needs to be upgraded to full-fledged Corporation where it's administrative responsibilities are looked after by a Mayor like in Tripura.
Party's State Secretary Sarat Salam, State Secretariat member Yumnam Ratan also spoke on the occasion.
In the conference, thirteen member Imphal City District committee was formed for a period of one year and comrade Kshetrimayum Sopen was elected as city Secretary.
Also ten delegates with four alternate delegates were also selected for participation in the 17th CPI (M) Manipur State Conference.
