Taking serious note of the frequent harassments being made to the innocent public, drivers and conductors of the buses plying between Tamai and Imphal by individuals identified as Kuki militants, Zeliangrong Baudi (ZB) and Zeliangrong Students' Union (ZSU), Senapati zone urged the militants and Kuki civil organisations to look into the matter and ensure safety to the public as a civilized social being to avoid verses in the near future.
A press release issued jointly by the chairmen of the two organisations T Disimang and L Stephen Makuinmai said that the conductor of the bus owned by Liangmai Naga Baptist Association(M) was beaten up at Maohing some time back.
Again on September 29 last, the conductor of Chunchun Bus was bashed up by some persons identified themselves as KRA cadres at Chalwa village, the release said.
The statement further asked what the hidden agenda of SoO is, if the Kuki militants have to continue with such acts.
ZB and ZSU also strongly condemned the elimination of of one K Chawang on August 16 by UNPC.
The two bodies also appreciated and extended full support to the latest development between Naga Army that came under the banner of Reconciliation at Chingmai, Thailand.
