Taking serious note of the inability to use the newly construction building of the Ibotonsana Higher Secondary School as the same has been kept under locked on alleged ground of not paying the bill, DESAM has appealed to all concerned to bring an amicable solution and allow the students to use the building.
Addressing a press conference in this connection at Ibotonsana Higher Secondary School today afternoon, education secretary of DESAM A Thoithoi informed that the class rooms of the new building have been locked up by the sub-contractors as the bill of the work implemented have not been given to them by the District Council.
The matter should be settled within October 20 in the interest of the student, he said, while of dismantling the newly constructed buildings if the rooms were found locked when it came for inspection on October 20 .
The student body has also reiterated its appeal for re-construction/repairing of the buildings in other 15 higher secondary schools and 7 colleges which have been constructed without any quality control.
