Tamil Sangam refutes claim, 48 hour bandh underway

Refuting claims and allegations of Raipur Police who arrested V Shekhar, president of Tamil Sangam from Chennai Airport on allegations of being an international cocaine smuggler on July 14, the Tamil Sangam the apex body of the South Indian Community at Moreh and the Border Trade and Chamber of Commerce, Moreh will be staging a sit in protest against and arrest of V Shekhar tomorrow from 8 am to 4 pm.
Reacting to the false allegation and unwarranted arrest of its president, Tamil Sangam and BTCC has called a 48 hour bandh in Moreh town which began from July 20, 6 am and it will continue till July 22, 6 am.
The bandh has severely effected normal life and bussiness in the international border town.
It may be mentioned that Raipur police arrested V Shekhar on allegations of cocaine smuggling across the border and murder of Rajesh Dagar, a fellow operative who parted ways with Shekhar and floated his own gang.
Raipur Police have taken Shekhar into custody to conduct trial and further investigations regarding the allegations charged against him.

Shekhar is being kept at an unknown location because of his high-end contacts.
The alleged smuggler is believed to have earned a fortune out of the business.
Police officials have also recovered American dollars from his possession.
The police officials are now tracking his property in Manipur and Chennai.
Upon investigation, the officials found that the black money earned from smuggling was invested in numerous property ventures by him.
CSP Neetu Kamal has stated that Shekhar will be presented before the court on Friday.
The police officials also believe that Shekhar can provide valuable information about Satyendra, wanted in the Rajesh Dagar murder case.
Wanted Satyendra is the younger brother of Rajesh Dagar.
It is believed that he along with Shekhar planned the murder of Rajesh by hired guns.
