'Opposition MLAs, Ministers lobby to join Congress'

Imphal, July 20 2011:
Congress is an immortal political party of the nation and MLAs and ex-Ministers are lobbying to be in the party, but the party will not take any decision hastily in its enrolment said president of the MPCC at the reception function of the newly enrolled ADC members to the Congress.
Speaking at the reception organized by the District Congress Committee Gaikhangam said that Congress has its network in almost all parts of the world.
A person has to have patience and be sincere if at all he or she wishes to join the party.
He further went on to say that we should all try and keep the trust and faith of the people of the state, both in the hills and in the plains.
The people of the hills and the valley should trust and help each other.
All differences should be cast aside.
Under the initiative of the Chief Minister, election of District Council has been conducted after a gap of 20 years amidst various agitations.
Fortunately in all 6 ADCs the Congress got the majority.
Likewise in the coming general election the people should work to further strengthen the party, he said.
Some of the candidates who turn out successful in the election were also candidates who were Congress minded.
Their joining the Congress party is their homecoming, he exclaimed.
General Secretary in charge District Council, MPCC, Victor Keishing, General Secretary in charge Mahila, MPCC , D Korungthang andChandel ADC Chairman Lhukhosei were also present in the function.
The three independent ADC members who joined the Congress were DM Korungthang Maring, DP Thomas Maring and LR Kothil Maring.
