The JAC on Khuga dam have petitioned the Chief Minister to stalled the proposed inauguration of Khuga Multipurpose Projects until and unless all the purposes were fully completed and accuse the construction as sub-standard that sends panic and dismay to the people.
'No irrigation is made to provide and function to feed the nearby paddy fields, and in case of water supply for drinking purpose, it is a far off dream till this fall.
As regards to the electric power generation, it is still very far off from functioning,' wrote the JAC on the grounds for their petition to Chief Minister.
They also alleged the construction as sub-standard and in a deteriorating condition which makes the people of Churachandpur panicky, dismay and dejected.
The JAC in a separate statement clarified that the committee was formed in the interest of the public with all tribal apex bodies, student bodies, civil society and NGOs to spearhead and to oppose the plan to hastily inaugurate the project even as it lacks behind in delivering its purposes.
The KSO, HSA, ZS, KIC, ZC, HI, MPC and KDARARA have formally conveyed their support to the JAC and already depute a representative each to assist them.
