Hindi Week observed under the aegis of the Manipur Hindi Parishad since September 14 at the Parishad's hall concluded yesterday.
The closing function was graced by noted historian and literateur Padmasree RK Jhaljit as chief guest and Manipur Sahitya Parishad president Anoubam Dinachandra as functional president.
During the function, Yengkhom Ibomcha was honoured with Hindi Seva Sanman by the Manipur Hindi Parishad in recognition of his dedication towards teaching and propagating Hindi in the State.
The closing function also featured a book exhibition where many books translated from Hindi to Manipuri and vice versa, books written in Hindi by Manipuris, books on Manipur written in Hindi by Hindi speakers and journals in Hindi published in the State were put on display.
Prof Sureshchandra, Radhagovind and other scholars delivered speeches at the occasion.
