Imphal, December 14: The Working Committee of the Apunba Lup has today reiterated that there is question of a split within the Apunba Lup but added that some members indulged in purely selfish Intent and named them as former coordinators, Surjit of COHR, Babloo of HERICOUN, and Langdol of CLK.

In a statement, the Working Committee questioned why these three met the Governor without informing the Apunba Lup even though the Governor had made it clear that there was nothing he could to defuse the situation arising out of the people's demand for the repeal of AFSPA.

The statement also questioned why the three took their own personal decisions without consulting the Apunba Lup and accused them of using the people for their own selfish ends.

Even if the Apunba were to meet the Prime Minister a decision ought to have been taken together, said the statement and questioned why this was not done so.

What is the meaning of sharing quotas amongst the constituent units of the Apunba Lup to be in the team to meet the Prime Minister, countered the statement and added that this was nothing but to humiliate the Apunba Lup in front of all the people.

Though a decision was taken that the people will be informed if the Apunba Lup were to go to Delhi why wasn't this done so, further asked the statement and added that Surjit, Babloo and Langdol should answer the questions raised.

Dr A Lokendra, who supposedly the team to Delhi was cheated into doing so by the three co-ordinators, charged the statement and asked the people to be wary of them.
