Following news report carried by this daily of some uniformed peisonnel pilfering building material from inside the Kangla Fort, the Art and Culture Department has today lodged a complaint to the State police chief on the matter.
According to a reliable Department source, the DGP has been urged to look into the matter of the security personnel manning the historic fort pilfering building materials for conversion into household items at a tin factory located at Khoyathong Bazar.
When contacted, Additional DGP Y Joykumar informed that the Commandant of the IRB battalion deployed at the fort to inquire has been instructed to inquire the matter.
