Lions Club of Imphal organises debate

Imphal, November 08 2015:
As a part of the United Nations (UN) Day Observation, 2015 Lions and Lioness Clubs of Imphal, district 322-D organised a debate at Lions Service Centre, Sangaiprou Airport Road on Sunday for higher secondary to graduate level students on the topic "In a seven decade existence of United Nations (UN), pragmatism demands a woman to be made its Secretary General".
22 students participated in the debate.
Wahengbam Monika of RK Sanatombi Vidyalaya, Pangei bagged the first prize, Debabrata Laishram of Sainik School Imphal bagged the second prize while Rajkumar Sarangthem of Sainik School Imphal was given the third prize with cash awards of Rs 5, 000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000 respectively.
The overall team championship with trophy was won by Sainik School Imphal.
The prizes were distributed by Lion O Kulachandra Singh, President Lions Club of Imphal.
