Imphal, November 08 2015:
All those Union BJP Ministers who came to Manipur only made tall promises and went back without doing anything for the welfare of the State.
It would be wise on the part of the Government of India not to send any Union Ministers who have little idea about Manipur, asserted Chief Minister Okram Ibobi.
Speaking at a flag hoisting ceremony of Congress candidate Jyotin Waikhom today at Thangmeiband Hijam Leikai, Ibobi stated that none of the BJP Ministers did anything for the State of Manipur except pay lip service.
He reiterated that communal BJP should not be allowed to take roots on the soil of Manipur.
He said that it looked like Union Minister of State, Commerce and Industries (independent charge) Nirmala Sitharaman was invited by the BJP State unit to campaign for the party.
Despite all the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and many Union Ministers, BJP suffered a humiliating defeat in the Bihar Legislative Assembly election.
Post-election analysis revealed that BJP suffered the debacle because Prime Minister was only making empty promises without ever bothering to fulfil any one of them.
Many individuals who are known for their crooked nature have now joined BJP.
Whatever they have been shouting do not deserve people's trust.
He then appealed to all the voters of Thangmeiband AC to elect Jyotin Waikhom in order to make up development deficits of the Assembly segment.
MPCC president and Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam asserted that the forthcoming by-election would be a decisive battle between the ruling party and the Opposition parties.
O Joy better known as MPP Joy has started lashing National parties but his BJP membership looks rather awkward, Gaikhangam remarked.
He then asked BJP if they can deny the June 18 civilian revolt.
He went on to ask, "What is the hidden agenda behind BJP's alliance with NPF which is demanding greater Nagaland?" .
Social Welfare Minister AK Mirabai, Hill Areas Committee Chairman Dr Chaltonlien Amo, ML As K Ranjit and Ksh Biren were also present at the flag hoisting ceremony.
