Imphal, November 08 2015:
People of Manipur belonging to various communities have been co-existing since time immemorial and should together continue to uphold the age-old relationship, said JCILPS convenor Khomdram Ratan during a discussion meeting held at Maryland village community hall today, reports our correspondent.
The meeting was organised by the United People's Administrative Council (UPACO), Thoubal Ima, Maryland Village Authority and National Identity Protection Committee (NIPCO) .
Addressing the gathering, Khomdram Ratan said that the ancestral ties among the indigenous people of Manipur must be upheld by working collectively.
Ambiguous statements of the Central Government to the people of Manipur in connection with the peace accord signed between the Government of India and NSCN(IM) is nothing but aimed at upsetting the harmonious environment of the State, Khomdram Ratan said.
