Lamka, April 27 2015 :
Two journalists have joined the electoral race of the ADC poll scheduled to be held on June 1 .
SN John, a former staff of Manipur Express, who is gearing up to contest the poll in Haopi Range ADC constituency, today commenced his campaign at Mata village wherein he received the blessings of as many as 7 village chiefs and a priest.
Speaking at the event, John said he will subsist and be content with the perks and pay an ADC member is entitled.
He promised to let any developmental scheme reach the intended people.
33 years old John, also conveyed his perpetual attachment to the society and claimed that working for the public was his true calling.
Editor of Nisin Thuhiltu, Kh Benlian Vaiphei had also a fortnight back relinquished his editorial responsibility to fight the Chongkhozou DCC seat.
He is seeking the BJP ticket while John will fight the poll as an Independent candidate.
In all likelihood, the ADC poll in Churachandpur is heading for a triangular fight as well, but the third front besides the Congress and the BJP is taking the shape of 'Independent' unlike other districts where NPF is expected to make its presence felt.
The past elections here, particularly the ADC, were often fought on different lines rather than on party ideology.
The upcoming poll, it seems, will be no different.
