Challenge Cup Veteran Football-2015: KSC, SHDSA register comfortable wins

KSC and Sadar Hills District Sports Association (SHDSA) registered comfortable wins in the league match of the 17th Challenge Cup Veteran Football Tournament being played under the supervision of Manipur Veteran Football Association (MVFA) at Mapal Kangjeibung on Monday.
KSC square off MUSA in the first match of the day.
KSC scored one goal in each half to beat MUSA.
The teams had some early exchanges but KSC had most of the ball possession.
Hemtinsei docked his defenders to in a well coordinated move to put the ball behind the goal line of MUSA to open the account for KSC in 15th min.
MUSA did tried to score the deficit goal but KSC defenders thwart the hopes.
KSC lead 1-0 at half time.
After change of ends, Pouminthang make sure that KSC pocket the match with a goal in the 44th min to the delight of KSC players; support staff and supporters.
MUSA kept searching for the goal and their efforts was materialized by Nonikumar when his strike found the back of the net after quick exchange between the strikers in the KSC striking zone.
However, the effort came too late as KSC did not concede further goals and walk away with the match in 2-1 .
Sadar Hills District Sports Association (SHDSA) played against Imphal Veteran Football Association (IVFA) in the second match.
SHDSA scored at will against IVFA to win the match comfortably at 3-0 .

SHDSA scored in the 4th min through Ronal to who is the boss.
IVFA did not wilt under the early goal and came back with more force and people to reduce the margin.
Tenacity of SHDSA defenders make sure that their team did not lose the advantage and take the break with 1-0 .
After the breather, Samkhoset added two goals in 39th and 52th min to take the tally to 3-0.IVFA could not score a single goal till the end of the match.
