Avail subsidy while buying battery operated vehicles

In an act to give a boost to curb pollution caused by fossil fuelled vehicles, MANIREDA is providing subsidy to people who buy battery operated vehicles.
In an exclusive interview with Hueiyen Lanpao, Director MANIREDA, L Manglem told that the agency is providing subsidy to civilians, government employees, NGOs and registered private companies while buying the battery operated two wheelers, three wheelers, cars and mini buses under the Alternative Fuels for Surface Transportation of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
Buyers will be provided subsidy of ' 4,000 or 20 % of the company price on low speed two wheelers, ' 5000 or 20 % of the company price on high speed two wheelers, ' 60,000 or 20 % on three wheelers with seven passenger capacity, ' 1,00,000 or 20 % on cars of four passengers capacity and ' 4,00,000 on mini buses with a capacity of 10 or more passengers.
Mini buses having capaticy of 10 or more passengers will have a maximum speed of 40 kmph and can run 70 km on a fully charged battery.
Three wheeler vehicles can run upto 90 km in a maximum speed of 45 kmph on a fully charged battery.
Cars can run on a maximum speed of 50 kmph and can run upto 90 km on a fully charged battery.
Even though MANIREDA is providing subsidy while buying such battery operated vehicles the subsidy can only be availed in buying vehicles of companies like Avon, Hero, Ampere, Lohia, Yo Bike and Electrothrem.
