Imphal, August 14 2019: Following the death of W Debita at JNIMS, the Link Commissioner, Health and Family Welfare and Chairman, Executive Committee, JNIMS Society, issued an order suspending Dr Tensubam Nimmi today.

Dr Nimmi is a Senior Resident (Obst/Gynae) at JNIMS.

Condemning the suspension of the doctor, her colleagues of the institute have threatened to launch am intense agitation if the suspension order is not revoked by tomorrow, August 15.Speaking to media persons at JNIMS today, Teachers Association JNIMS executive member as well as ENT Dept Asst Prof Dr N Kumarjit claimed that the suspension order of Dr Tensubam Nimmi has various flaws and errors.

He explained that the suspension order was issued without any basic departmental inquiry and this is highly condemnable.

Dr Kumarjit conveyed that it is reported in the suspension order that the deceased patient had been admitted under the care of Dr Nimmi and explained that normally, a patient is admitted under the care of the unit head.

As such, the details mentioned in the suspension order is completely wrong, he alleged, demanding the suspension order to be revoked by tomorrow.

If not, the doctors will launch intense agitation from the net day, August 16, he warned.
