Imphal, March 21 2013:
Tribal Youth Council, Manipur (TYCM) has lambasted the Okram Ibobi led Government over its alleged insensitive and unresponsive attitude over the trafficked children rescued from Jaipur's Grace Home in Rajasthan recently.
In a statement, Information Secretary of TYCM Peining Chungliu Kamei said that out of the 51 children rescued, 30 belong to Manipur and most of them are from tribal.
They were rescued on March 12; however, none of them have been brought home until today.
While condemning the fake recruitment rally allegedly being carried out by 5 Assam Rifles in Manipur, TYCM asserted that it is unimaginable that 'friends of the hills' would indulge in such acts.
TYCM also urged the Government of India to conduct an enquiry into the matter.
