'Educating women can reduce crimes against women'

If we are to reduce the level of crimes and atrocities committed against women, then our society needs to produce more educated women, H Ibotombi, Advisor of IPSA has stated.
Speaking as Chief Guest of the 20th Foundation Day celebration of Chanura Lamchinglen Kangleipak (CLK) at its office in Keishampat Konjeng Hajari Leikai, H Ibotombi pointed out that crimes against women are being committed not only by their male counterparts but also by their own kiswomen.
And most of the women who are victims of torture and atrocities are often found to be illiterate and those women who commit crimes against their own kinswomen are found uneducated.
So, there is the need to educate women.
Presided over by Th Tampakleima, President, CLK, the function was also attended by RK Sanahanbi, President kanglei Ima Lup and Y Leirikleima, President, KANGLAMEI as Guests of Honour.
