Ukhrul, March 21 2013:
Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS) on Thursday urged the State government for early repatriation of the trafficked children rescued recently from different homes in Jaipur.
Talking to Hueiyen Lanpao on Thursday morning, TKS president Yangmi Khapai called upon the state government to initiate immediate measures to bring back the 29 children from Jaipur.
"The State government should not dilly-dally in arranging measures to repatriate the trafficked children...also presses for befitting action against anyone involved in the case," he asserted.
Of the 29 children from the state, 22 are girls and 7 are boys who are all in the age group of 5 to 14 .
On March 12, as many as 51 minors both from Manipur and Nagaland were rescued by Tangkhul Shanao Long Delhi (TSLD) from two children's homes in Jaipur.
The TKS alleged that the children have been subjected to various forms of abuse and require utmost care and guidance from experts.
