Kangpokpi town witnessed busy traffic for a few moments this morning as the Christian community marched on the street and harmoniously shouted "Hosanna, hosanna, hosanna" to observe Palm Sunday, reports our correspondent.
Kangpokpi (Kanggui) Christian Church, KBC Centre Church, Kangpokpi (Kanggui) also joined the exuberant procession along the highway today.
In Christianity, Palm Sunday is the last Sunday before Easter, the sacred day for Christians to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Palm Sunday is also known as Passion Sunday, Willow Sunday, and Flower Sunday.
Speaking to reporters, one of the Pastors said that Palm Sunday is an occasion that reflects the final week of Jesus Christ's life.
It is a time for Christians to remember the agony of Christ and the joy of His resurrection.
Young and old alike held twigs and shouted "Hosanna to the Son of David", "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord" along the highway and depicted scenes of Jesus Christ making a triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
