Jiribam, November 19 2015:
Around 35 loaded trucks have been damaged today by supporters of economic blockade imposed by the Jiribam District Demand Committee (JDDC) demanding the State Government to declare Jiribam as a full-fledged revenue district.
Though the JDCC, over a telephonic conversation, claimed to have damaged around 35 loaded trucks at Leingangpokpi, media persons came across 5 damaged trucks at the spot.
At present, over 167 loaded trucks are stranded at Leingangpokpi due to the economic blockade.
Security personnel will reportedly escort the stranded trucks to their destinations.
