Driver freed

Imphal, June 26 2014:
Inter-State bus driver Thokchom Ingobi (45) who was abducted by suspected cadres of KCP-MC (Lamyanba Khuman) from Jakhlabanda, Assam has been freed.
According to information received from the All Manipur Night Super Drivers' Welfare Association, Ingobi reached Dimapur by train.
Meanwhile, a team of the association has left Imphal to bring back Ingobi from Dimapur.
Although it could not be confirmed where Ingobi was freed by his abductors, it is being speculated that he was freed somewhere on the border between Assam and Meghalaya.
Notably, driver Ingobi from Khongjom Mamang Leikai was abducted in the intervening night of June 13 and 14.Since then, inter-State bus service has remained suspended and ticket counters closed.
