Imphal, June 26 2014:
Thadou Students' Association (TSA) of Chandel, Sadar Hills and Churachandpur have strongly condemned the act of Chaoba Lukho, CO of 7th IRB in the incident where his vehicle which was heading to Imphal knocked down and damaged an ALTO car bearing registration no ML05F-2825 along Khonghampat-Koirengei road injuring six persons on June 16 last.
In a joint statement, the association said TSA volunteers rushed to the spot and saw the injured persons lying inside the vehicle without any first-aid for more than 40 minutes.
The volunteers took them at Raj Medicity for treatment where CT scan and X-Ray were taken.
However, due to the unavailability of seat in the hospital, the patients were further shifted to Christian Hospital, Dewlahland where some of them are undergoing treatment.
Stating that despite an FIR registered at Sekmai Police Station in connection with the incident, no action has been taken against the CO so far, the association warned of imposing a 24-hour State wide bandh specially along Dimapur-Moreh and Churachandpur-Imphal road with effect from 3 am of June 28 if necessary action is not taken up against the erring CO for his irresponsible act.
