JERC (Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission) Manipur and Mizoram

Imphal, June 12 2013:
With the concurrence of the competent authority, the Ministry of Power, Government of India has appointed N Shyamsundar Singh as a member of the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for Manipur and Mizoram, representing Manipur.
A double graduate in electrical and civil engineering, Shyamsundar Singh joined the State Electricity Department directly as an Assistant Engineer in 1973 on the recommendation of the MPSC and continued to work there in different capacities till his retirement in February 2008 as Additional Chief Engineer.

While in service, he took the pivotal role in obtaining statutory clearances of several generation projects of the State from different authorities of the Government of India and also contributed few technical papers.
Shyamsundar also worked on deputation as Additional Chief Engineer in one of the Central Government owned agencies under the Ministry of Water Resources, visited USA, Canada and a few European countries under different sponsored programmes.
Before joining the JERC for M and M as Chief (Engineering) in July 2009, the officer was with MANIREDA as Technical Consultant for over a year.
